Pickerel is an unincorporated community in the northeast corner of Langlade County, Wisconsin, United States.
The community sits about 19 miles away from Antigo, and is located within the Town of Langlade. The city’s volunteer fire department serves not only the community of Pickerel, but also serves Ainsworth and part of Nashville.
Pickerel Lake provides fishing throughout the year. Winter provides excellent ice fishing for bluegill, perch, sunfish and northern pike and during the summer months fishing from a boat provides the same level of excitement for all the species.
